Tomorrow we will be having our CrossFit Total. We started this linear cycle on Oct 12, 09 and everyone has made some huge improvements!! The strength training has paid off, we are all now stronger than before and capable of doing more work in less time. Tomorrow will give us a taste of what we are possibly, just maybe, capable of.
The Total will begin at 1000 hrs, the order of lifts will be: Squat, Press, then Dead-lift. No one will move on till everyone has finished a particular lift. You will be given three attempts at each lift to find a 1 rep max, there will be a warm up period for each lift before each lift. The rules for each lift will be briefed at the beginning of the Total and before the group begins each lift. Chalk is allowed, belts are allowed, shoes are optional, no wrist wraps that help with grip are allowed, knee sleeves are allowed but must be worn from the beginning of the warm-up to the end of the lift for each lift. Any questions can be posted to comments or saved till tomorrow.
After the Total we will resume training in this strength format. Some will continue on this linear progression for some time and some will switch to some more advanced programming. Whatever the case may be, be happy, be proud... the progress has been steady and will continue to come.
